The first work I associate with "dissonance" is "cognitive", which immediately jumps to politics. I'm not trying to take any sides in this once. You can disagree but be civil about it and don't demonize your opponent. The last line is because a distraction was needed and college football was on, particularly the USC/Stanford game, which #10 USC beat the crap out of Stanford as expected.
